Blog 7 : Video review

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fVI3BRBC6o&feature=related

There Is No Energy Crisis, There is a Crisis of Ignorance. Simply put, we have the technology to switch from nonrenewable to renewable resources. What are renewable resources? They are a supply of energy that is endless, for example solar power allows us to harvest the suns energry. In 2030, the world is estimated to have a human population of 8 billion. Sustaining this population will only be possible through a big change because it requires enourmous amounts of elctrical enrgy and with the six billion people that live on this planet we are already under a stressed infrastructure.

We cannot continue with our ancient traditions that have brought us up until this point because we will only be killing ourselves. Physically our Earth cannot handle the way we are living. We are trashing our own home, poluting the air that we breath and spreading disease among our family. Only becuase change is not stressed because we are not thinking about the future of our planet only ourselves.

Reflection questions: What can you do to change towards a healthier planet? what predictions do you have for renewable resources? Do you think that energy is a big problem or something just exaggerated? What are your opinions on this video? what are your initial reactions?
